About The Event

Considered one of the premier Beatles Tribute acts in the country, The Sun Kings amaze their fans and win over skeptics with their uncanny channeling of and respect for the music they perform. With a repertoire spanning the entire Beatles epoch, The Sun Kings shine in concert, playing the vintage instruments used by the Fab Four -  the Rickenbacker, Gretsch, Gibson, Epiphone guitars, the Hofner Bass, and Ludwig Drums. With spot-on arrangements and vocal harmonies delivered with a driving energy, joy, and vitality, The Sun Kings in concert recall the earliest performances by John, Paul, George, and Ringo.

Experience the concert The Beatles never gave, with songs spanning the years from Hamburg to the Rooftop.

The Sun Kings are superb! ...as close to the Beatles live and in studio as possible!

-Ben Fong-Torres | Former Editor Rolling Stone Magazine

“The only band that could come that close to doing Beatles music would be The Beatles!”

-Richard Freedman | Vacaville Media News

“...with their sets loaded with peak moments, their dazzling harmonies leading each ascent, the Sun Kings only flaw is that they eventually have to stop the celebration...” -Tom Stack | Lafayette Town Hall Theatre Board VP

Director - Drew Harrison

Drew Harrison is devoted to sharing The Beatles' and especially John Lennon's, musical legacy with the world. He is the "Lennon-guy" in the touring bands he leads, "The Sun Kings" and the "Plastic Fauxno Band," as well in his "Two of Us" duo and his "In the Spirit of Lennon" solo act. In crafting his performances, Drew goes beyond sounding like Lennon, capturing the depth of Lennon's emotions, the intricacy of his style, and his stage mannerisms. In creating ensembles to perform The Beatles' music, Drew brings together expert musicians dedicated to accuracy and energy in interpreting the original works. It is not surprising that Drew Harrison is also a singer/songwriter of merit, who has traveled the world, guitar in hand, performing his own works, and opening for artists such as Huey Lewis and the News. Colleagues, friends, and fans alike appreciate Drew's generosity of spirit, honest intensity, and charming wit, as well as his musical talent.
