About The Event
In Spring 2020, violinists Etienne Gara and YuEun Kim packed up their 1971 VW bus ”Boris” and turned the pandemic shut-down into a 6‑month, 4000‑mile musical road trip. Their MusiKaravan travels brought live music to farm workers, winemakers, passersby, and even an occasional turkey - wherever it was needed! Joined by cellist, Stella Cho, MusiKaravan now tours as a Trio.
Keeping the artistic excellence and spontaneity honed on the road in 2020, MusiKaravan enlists the audience to help shape the evening’s program from a musical palette of French chansons, Vivaldi, Monti’s Czardas, Brahms’ Hungarian Dances, and even international pop tunes. Concert selections are then interlaced with projected images and tales from the sometimes scary, sometimes humorous, adventures of the classical musicians and their classic wheels.
Enjoy a Ripon concert that is like no other. Each delightful MusiKaravan concert is unique – never performed the same way twice!
