Pioneering bluegrass icon Laurie Lewis returns to the RAL stage, this time with her sizzling touring band of singers, musicians, and collaborators: The Right Hands - Kentucky-born, San Francisco-based fiddler, Brandon Godman; San Francisco banjoist, Evan Ward; and North Carolina’s Haselden “Hasee” Ciaccio on string bass.
Bluegrass music has reflected the heart and soul of America for decades on decades.
The October 8th concert reaches back to a variety melodies from Laurie’s 40-year catalog and introduces songs from her newly released album with The Right Hands, O California!
A perfect coda to this year in US history, Laurie Lewis & The Right Hands transport us from America’s own bluegrass of the 1940s with its African/European influences, to new songs drawn from the natural grandeur surrounding us and the people amongst us, today, here in California.
