James Garner’s Tribute to Johnny Cash captures the essence of America’s Man in Black, recreating decades of his iconic songs with strong conviction and stunning accuracy. True and talented Johnny Cash fans, not impersonators, Garner and his band have crisscrossed the country for the past eighteen years with their toe-tapping trip down memory land, featuring favorites like “I Walk the Line,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “A Boy Named Sue,” and “Ring of Fire.” Adding to the evening, James Garner peppers the concert with personal anecdotes and stories from the legendary singer-songwriter’s six-decade career.
Opening the Ripon Arts League’s 2025-2026 season with beloved songs, stories, and the boom-chicka-boom sound of Cash’s long-time backing band, the Tennessee Three, James Garner’s Tribute to Johnny Cash is not to be missed!
