About The Event

Returning to Ripon Arts League, in time to kick off the March St. Patrick's Day celebrations, Highland Way offers a lively show with Scottish and Irish songs, plus rapid-fire fiddling and expert instrumentals. The charismatic Brian Caldwell from Glasgow, leads the full Highland Way band in songs of work and play, conflict, love, and the gathering of friends.

High energy, spirited music, friendly banter, and great fun!

Just spectacular musicians, a joy to work with from the minute they walked in the door.” Columbia Theatre, Longview, WA

About Highland Way:

Performing from Scotland to Nova Scotia, and from Ireland to California, Highland Way musicians are uncompromising professionals. With their extensive and varied repertoire they know how to tailor their flawlessly-blended performance to the audience.

Founding member Brian Caldwell combines his robust vocals and a driving rhythm guitar, with his knack for shaping the perfect set list, to give the audience the best possible show. A native Scot with his Glasgow accent, Brian is well known for his natural ability to charm any crowd.

Joining Brian are Paul Graham Castellanos - master of "all things strings" -on fiddle, mandolin, guitar, and banjo, studio and concert pro Sharon Whyte - on accordion and keyboards, concert and recording artist Bob Sale - on drums and percussion, composer/educator/musical director Glen Fisher - on bass, and international touring veteran, Jim Soldi on guitar. Jim and Sharon blend their vocals with Brian's.

Highlighting Celtic music from Scotland and Ireland, with originals and the occasional popular cover, the Highland Way creates the ultimate show.
